Wenaha Group is provided project management services for this 59-unit, 5-story, affordable housing development targeted toward low and extremely-low Latinx families and individuals. With a steady growth of the Latinx community in Eugene, many families are rent-burdened, houseless, or sharing housing with multiple families. This 5-story elevator, wood-framed building will feature one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. The central downtown location will provide much-needed affordable housing in a census tract where the poverty rate is above 20%, with no existing affordable housing within a mile. This development is an answer to the needs expressed by the community for affordable family-sized units in a walkable, centralized location providing educational opportunities and access to the Lane County Transit Center, grocery stores, the Eugene Public Library, and the 5th Street Public Market.
