Wenaha Group began the FF&E process for Corvallis School District by conducting a pilot furniture program with multiple potential vendors across a number of district sites allowing staff to access furniture options and provide input to help select FF&E for two new elementary schools and ten K-12 modernization projects.
Wenaha Group worked with various stakeholders to design prototypical spaces for use in elementary schools around the District. Once prototypical furniture was selected, Wenaha prepared all necessary board presentation documents for approval and helped the District prepare necessary purchasing documents.
After purchase orders were issued, Wenaha tracked orders and site readiness, ensuring that district deadlines would be met. Once ordered items arrived on site, Wenaha oversaw the installation process, checking for order accuracy and tracking all punch-list claims. Wenaha’s oversite held vendors accountable and made sure that sites were prepared for staff and students.
As part of the 2018 Corvallis School District Bond, Wenaha Group worked closely with district leadership, on-site staff and the general contractors to facilitate the moves and space allocation during the bond. Wenaha coordinated the process in its entirety; overseeing the packing, purging, moving and set up into temporary and final locations. Altogether, Wenaha managed the move scope of (16) buildings, multiple different departments, and well over 300 staff members simultaneously at any given time. This scope also included non-traditional moves of construction equipment, farming machines/related supplies, and valuable artifacts.
